Math Intervention

April 20 - April 24

Welcome to our class. You are to keep a journal of any and all things you do dealing with math in your daily life. This would include but is not limited to measuring while cooking, measuring and weighing fish if you are fishing, counting change if you go to the store, keeping score if you are playing a game. Any and all ways you may use math in your daily routine. FROM WEEK 3 DUE IF YOU HAVE NOT DONE IT

In this journal, I want you to write complete sentences using proper grammar and spelling. I expect several sentences describing each incident. If you cannot find anything dealing with math in a particular day (which I would find hard to believe), I would like you to get out the measuring cups and experiment with a couple of them and water and tell me what you found. Or get a measuring tape, yard stick or even a ruler and measure a room in your house find the length and the width and use them to find the area (lw) and the perimeter(2l + 2w). Find at least one thing every day where you are dealing with math and record it in your journal. If you have any questions, please contact me.

I would like this turned in via one of several ways listed are the preferred ways in order of preference.

1. Posting a photo via livegrades if possible 3. Texting a photo to 304-671-4378 please add your name

2. Emailing a photo to rkenney@k12.wv.us 4. Have your parents email or text or call the above number stating that you have completed the assignment and how many different entries you have.

I miss you ladies and gentlemen immensely. I would so much rather be with you at this point. But that is not to be at the moment. Please take care of yourselves and continue to strive to do your best.

WEEK 4 April 13- April 24

You are to work on the SMARTCARD that was sent home with your report card. This will satisfy your requirements for Math Intervention.

If you get a chance, check your messages on live grades. If you don't remember you login and password for livegrades or any of the above , email me at rkenney@k12.wv.us and I can send that to you.

I will be checking Livegrade messages and email at least twice a day. For now, those hours will be 9 AM -11 AM. and 3 PM - 4 PM. Later we may set up a time to meet for a group chat on Google meet. Watch your livegrades and/or this page for any announcements.
