Currently, I am looking to pursue a career in either aviation or a field in Engineering, however I am mostly focused on becoming an Aerospace engineer. I am interested in joining these careers from both my interests in designing and installing new parts to solve problems or fly people or freight around the world. on youtube with creators such as 74Gear, an aviation channel who focuses on his experience flying a 747, Integza building a 3d printed steam engine. I decided to look at these fields long term around eighth grade, however only started to pursue further knowledge about them during the summer between 10th and 11th grade.
So far, classes I have taken to help me achieve my career choice include Aviation and Engineering at the James A. Forrest Technical Career Center and AP Calculus to improve my chances for a job and successful career in aerospace engineering.
I've been employed at Ace Hardware, which although it doesn't have a direct correlation to the knowledge I need for an engineering job, helps improve things such as my work ethic and gives me experience working.
Upon graduation from high school, I don't plan to join the military as I have a more direct path if I go straight to college. For college, I plan to go to West Virginia University. This plan should stay the same regardless of if I switch schools, as I currently am not planning to attend a community college or change schools during my years.
After achieving either my degree in Aerospace engineering or getting a job as a commercial pilot, I would affect the world by designing and creating products for aircraft or providing a service to passengers and the airline I fly for.
