Theoretical (Exo)Planetary Astrophysicist.
Postdoctoral Researcher at the Space Research Institute of the Austrian Academy of Sciences.
I study planets around other stars, known as extrasolar planets or "exoplanets". My PhD work focused on trying to understand more about these exciting objects by modeling the flux and polarization of the light reflected by their atmospheres and surfaces, in preparation for upcoming telescopes such as the Habitable Worlds Observatory. My hope is that the astrophysical community will soon be able to utilize spectropolarimetry to search for and characterize habitable worlds like our own Earth!
For my postdoctoral research, I am now switching gears from terrestrial (i.e., Earth-like) exoplanets to explore the cloud and gas-phase chemistry in gas giant exoplanets orbiting different host stars and to model their 3-D climate and weather developments!
