KENNETH & JACOB’S HOUSE is a non-profit making organization founded in January 2020 by a couple (Kenneth and Jacob). The two were touched by the challenges faced by young LGBTQ+ youth in society, mostly during the pandemic period, they, therefore, decided to pilot a shelter project by successfully hosting 10 LGBTQ individuals in crisis at their private home apartment for a span of 6months. Kenneth and Jacob’s House offers temporary shelter and care, psycho-social support, advocacy, and life skills to LGBTQ youth runaways and those who are homeless aged 18-24. We also offers opportunities for personal development and social growth to the beneficiaries.
The mission is to support lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning youth by offering vital programs, fostering unconditional acceptance, and creating safe spaces for self-expression through leadership, community support, and advocacy.
To inspire inclusive communities where LGBTQ homeless youths are equally empowered.
Our team comprises LGBTQ+ youth who have experienced homelessness at a certain time in their growing up and are passionate enough to work towards ending this problem of queer youth homelessness.
