Much of the work completed at Brookline cannot be shown through material deliverables. In my internship I was also responsible for the following.
Media scanning- For each client I was assigned to, if a press release we released on the wire I was responsible for using various platforms including meltwater, critical mention and manual google searching to find where the release was picked up.
- I was also responsible for tracking social media as well as critical mention and meltwater to track for mentions of the client when a crisis happened.
Research - Finding influencers to pitch to that aligned with the brand of the client
- Vetting incoming opportunities for clients (award nominations, speaking opportunities, paid editorials etc.).
Creating media lists- Each client requires a specific audience to pitch stories to, on a few clients I was responsible for fully developing these lists including strategic journalists in specific cities, national or international contacts and trades.
Developing pitches - Separate from news releases, each pitch to a journalists must be unique to the journalists specialty on interest, I lead on developing multiple pitches for clients.
Managing meeting agendas- For most clients we had an internal meeting with the Brookline team and an external meeting with the client. Each of these meeting required an agenda that was shared on the screen each meeting. I was responsible for taking notes during meetings, updating the agenda based on discussions and sending to the team for review.
