Your donations to Kennedy PTA are put towards our operating budget, providing support for core programs, and inspiring our students to strive for more. As part of our school community, you are involved in preparing students intellectually, emotionally, and socially to thrive in life.

Our Goal for the Membership Drive is to build up the Kennedy Elementary PTA to support our Kennedy Students and build our Kennedy community. This year our goal is to raise ~$30,000 through donations (September), our Fun Run (November) and other events. Becoming a member supports our programs throughout the year including: teacher stipends, community events (Harvest Festival, School Dances, Hot Chocolate before school, Fun Run, Field Day, Newark Days Parade), art, Field Trips, assemblies and more! The more we raise the more we can give back to the Kennedy Community.
Our Membership and Donations Class Contest runs through on October 1st, 2025. Winners will be announced at our October 2nd meeting. The top 3 classes with highest % of PTA members/student and the top 3 classes with the highest donation/student will win a class party! Check back weekly to see class competition updates.
Join the PTA here through Totem. Membership dues are $15 per member. Anyone can join, including grandparents, aunts, uncles and friends! Please make sure you include your child's name and teacher as non-members so their class gets credit. Be sure to enter your child’s teacher so they get credit for the class competition which runs through October 1st.
Make a Donation. Donations are one of the easiest ways for us to raise money and every donation contributes to the class donation competition. For every $100 donated, you will get an eagle plush or a birthday announcement for your student on the marquee. ALL donations will earn a special K-Pop Demon Hunters PTA Sticker!

Write a check to the Kennedy PTA and include your child's name, email, teacher's name and amount on the envelope. Return to your child's teacher.
Company match: Many companies match donations made by their employees to 501(c)(3)s like the Kennedy PTA. Please check with your employer and make your donation go even further. If you don’t see us on their list, ask to see how we can be added. Our PTA EIN number is 946184127. In previous years, the PTA received matches from Google, BMS, Omron and Intel. Many companies will also allow you track Volunteer hours and translate that to donations. If you volunteer for a PTA sponsored event (Art Parent, Committee Chair, Event Help) those hours may translate to a monetary donation to us!
Here are some easy ways to support our PTA and our students at Kennedy:
School Supplies: Have any miscellaneous or extra school supplies (new or gently used) lying around? Donate them to the school! Just bring them to the Green Box in the school office. We can use glue sticks, pencils, construction paper, binder paper, copy paper, rulers, protractors, erasers, colored pencils, child scissors, boxes of crayons, colored markers, scotch tape, dry-erase markers and erasers, etc.
Boxtops for Education: Get the Boxtops App and Scan your receipt to get money for the PTA. See link below.
Treasure Box Donations: If your classroom has a treasure box (little gifts for good work or behavior), please consider donating to their box. These could be new treasures or treasures you already have in your house and just might want to pass on. Treasures could be things like goody bag items from parties, fast food happy meal prizes, little figurines, small toys, little cars, small stuffed animals, wind up toys, pencils, erasers, plastic jewelry, and more. If your classroom does not have a treasure box, but you would still like to donate some items, please bring them to the Green Box in the school office.
