Marzano's Collegiality and Professionalism Domain is most closely aligned with elements of Charlotte Danielson's Domain 4 on Professional Responsibilities. In this domain, the Marzano framework focuses on the teacher's responsibility to promote a positive environment for colleagues, parents and students, exchange ideas and strategies, and district and school development. Below showcases a few areas of my professional work that aligns with the design questions in Domain 4.
I am actively involved in our building's Technology Advisory Group, or TAG. This group has an array of responsibilities, from helping make technology decisions for the building to assisting with facilitating in-service days as presenters. Additionally, as one of the building's Instructional Technology Facilitators (ITF), I assist teachers with implementing our school's technology on a weekly basis.
Each year, I host two professional development courses for our district, where teachers can learn how to become Google Certified Educators. I have also presented with EdTechTeam on various Google products to impact teachers in other areas of the State.
More about my presentations can be found here.
I am an active member of the Pennsylvania Association for Educational Communications and Technology (PAECT) and the Pennsylvania State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (PSAHPERD). Through these organizations, I am able to share, collaborate, attend conferences and gain insight on what others are doing around the State and surrounding areas.
The following provides validation for my attention to Domain 4: Collegiality and Professionalism. The attached document is an observation report that focused specifically on this domain.
