I'm Ken Halverson, and I have lived in Big Lake for 30 years. I have been proud to serve on the Big Lake Fire Department as a firefighter and first responder. I have also been honored to be a Captain, the Assistant Chief, and Chief of the Big Lake Fire Department. I have been dedicated to this great city, and now I'd like to continue serving my community through the city council.

I'm running for city council because Big Lake is a great place to live. If elected, I will govern with fiscal responsibility and demonstrate fair treatment to everyone. Because of my experiences with the fire department, I will help our community with monitoring and regulating our overall yearly spending/budget. I believe the government should work towards benefiting all the people within the community. If I am elected, I want to work towards driving down our rising taxes, and regulate our city’s budget.
