Kendal Minor Baseball

2024 KENDAL MINOR BASEBALL REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED.

If you have a child interested in playing that hasn't registered, please contact:  kendalroyals@gmail.com

Spring is here and the baseball season is quickly approaching.  We are excited to get the kids playing outside, again.  Kendal baseball will start the week of April 29th-May 3rd, for all teams except Blastball.  All practices start at 6:15.  Please see the schedule below.  Blastball will start after the May long weekend, on Saturday May 25th at 9AM.

The first week will see the coaches looking at players and trying to sort them into teams of somewhat equal talent.  This is a hard task to accomplish when they are trying to factor in ride sharing, as well.  We ask that you refrain from asking coaches to put your child on a certain team or with kids other than the player that you listed as a rideshare.

For kids born in 2018 and before  they will need running shoes, a ball glove, a helmet, and we highly recommend athletic protection (a jock or jill).  Baseball shoes/spikes(plastic not metal) and a bat are good options, but are not required.

More information about games will be sent out after the scheduling is completed.  I think this should be done by early May.  Uniforms (Shirt and Hat) should arrive around mid May.

Kendal Royals Baseball

Welcome to Kendal Minor Baseball.  Minor baseball has been played in Kendal since 1926, when the park was first donated by the Jackson family, in memory of their son James Harvey Jackson.  He died in service to our country, during WWI.  Since then, some of the best baseball in the province has been played in this small and over looked village, with over a dozen All Ontario Championships to it's name.  Per capita, perhaps the highest number in the province!

In Kendal we strive to give kids a chance to play baseball, have fun and learn to appreciate the game and our baseball community.  To do this there are a lot of volunteers, past and present that have given there time so that baseball can be played in Kendal with the modest registrations that we have.  If you are interested in joining our community of volunteers, please come forward and start the conversation.

We hope you all have a great season,
