Hey, That’s My Monster!
Recently in the Library, several classes watched I Need My Monster and Hey, That’s My Monster written by Amanda Noll and illustrated by Howard McWilliam. While we watched the stories, we looked at all of the different types of monsters and what made them unique. Then we drew a monster as a class, each student only allowed to add one thing to the monster. We had some great monsters by the end of the day!
I would love to see some monsters that our e-learners create, so watch the videos, draw your monsters, and send us an email of your monsters. Don’t forget to give your monster a name! If you send us a picture of your monster, we will add it to the Kendall Kafé.

Curbside Instructions
Hello E-Learners and Parents,
Kendall Elementary is proud to announce that curbside pickup will begin on September 11, 2020. We are excited to get books back into the hands of our students.
Students can place a hold on a book through the Destiny system. Videos are available on the library page of the school website for those unsure of how to use the Destiny system. Pre-K students will need to use the hold pick up form located on the Kendall Kafé after finding their book in Destiny. All other grades will need to place their book on hold through Destiny AND fill out the hold pick up form.
All holds must be placed by noon on Wednesdays in order to be picked up the next day. Holds can be picked up from 9 AM to 2 PM on Fridays. Holds can be picked up in the Kendall Elementary foyer. Books will be placed on a cart with the last three digits student’s ID number, last name, and grade level on the spine of the book.
Holds are not guaranteed the same week they are placed. Because demand is high on many popular titles, the wait time can be long. In order to be contacted when your hold is ready, please fill out the hold pick up form as well as placing the hold in Destiny to ensure we have the correct contact information.
