Ken & Ami is a musical duo formed by a real-life couple, together by a shared passion: Music.
Their journey began with their participation in a singer-songwriter event held at the Amado Nervo Museum in Tepic, Nayarit (Mexico) in 2015. Ken helped Ami by creating musical arrangements for her original lyrics and songs and accompanied her on the piano. This collaboration revealed a strong musical chemistry between them, which quickly evolved into a deeper connection. They decided then to make music together, performing in cafés, restaurants, and events throughout Nayarit, and now bringing that same love for music to Vancouver, BC.
The name Ken & Ami is simply who they are: Two voices, one feeling.
Their music ranges from romantic ballads, rock and pop in Spanish/English, to Latin rhythms like cumbias, bachatas, rancheras, and more, all with an elegant touch, perfect for intimate dinners, lively gatherings, weddings, or family reunions.
Ken & Ami sing mostly in Spanish, but they also have repertoire in English. They perform live across British Columbia with a warm and unique style: Harmonizing voices and keyboards. Their harmonies blend naturally, a reflection of their strong bond and deep connection.
Although they haven't released original songs yet, they are focused on building a sustainable life through live music, performing at weddings, events, and special evenings. Their dream is to write and release their own love songs, written from an honest and real perspective, to remind people that love in all its forms, and commitment are very important, and exactly what we need nowadays.
