Kelvin — Flashlight · Effective 5 September 2026 · Version 1.0
Kelvin collects nothing, sends nothing, and asks for no permissions. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising, and no network code in the app at all.
Nothing. We collect no personal data, no device identifiers, no usage analytics, no crash reports, no advertising ID, and no location.
The app requests no runtime permissions and holds no permission that grants access to anything on your device. On Android it declares no CAMERA permission, because it drives the LED through the torch API rather than by opening the camera. The build tools add a single self-scoped entry (`DYNAMIC_RECEIVER_NOT_EXPORTED_PERMISSION`) that only lets the app receive its own internal messages; it reaches nothing outside the app and grants no access to your data. On iOS the app declares no usage descriptions, so the system never prompts you for anything.
Your settings — brightness, colour, warmth, pattern, appearance, auto-off — are stored on your device by the app. They never leave it, we cannot read them, and uninstalling the app deletes them.
The app makes no network requests. It works fully offline, in aeroplane mode, and with no SIM.
Three places in the app can open something outside it, and each one only when you tap it: the store listing (to leave a review), your system settings, and the share sheet. Tapping those hands you to the App Store, Google Play, your OS, or whichever app you pick to share with, each governed by its own privacy policy. We are not told that you tapped, and we receive nothing back.
There are none. The app contains no advertising SDK, no analytics SDK, no crash-reporting SDK, and no social SDK. Nobody receives data about you through this app, because the app has none to give.
The app is safe for all ages and collects no data from anyone, children included. It is not directed at children specifically, but it requires no information from any user, so it complies with COPPA and equivalent rules by holding nothing.
Laws such as the GDPR, the UK GDPR, the CCPA, and India's DPDP Act give you rights to access, correct, delete, and port your personal data, and to object to its processing. We hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to disclose, correct, delete, or export — and no data sale or sharing to opt out of. Deleting everything the app has is the same action as uninstalling it.
Data that is never collected cannot be leaked. Your settings are protected by your device's own app sandbox and, if you enable it, its full-device encryption.
If a future version ever collects anything, we will update this policy, change the effective date, and say so in the app before it does. This version collects nothing.
Questions about this document go to the developer contact shown on the app's App Store or Google Play listing, which is kept current there.
