Broken
This photoshoot was Inspired by a 30 second clip of the song " Broken " by Palaye Royale. At this point the music video had not yet been released and we could only hear 30 seconds of the song. This meant that I had very little references and I could only do this shoot based off a few lyrics. This was a blessing In a way as It allowed me to really think and be more creative. The look I did ended up being a completely different feel from the music video however I am still very happy with what I created and I am glad that I put my own twist on this, It was my Interpretation of the lyrics , with very few Influences.
The look what I wanted to go for was to have the very dramatic makeup to make It look like I had been crying a lot because I was so heartbroken. I wanted the audience to feel connected to It and to really get my distraught - ness across In the photos. I went for a very bold statement look with the spiked choker and the slick back hair. I was also sat In my bath tub filly clothed for this shoot, this was Inspired by a shot from their " nervous breakdown" music video where Remington was sat In a bath tub going crazy. I wish I took more photos and I wish that you could tell I was sat In a bath more, because Its hard to tell In the photos.
I wanted the audience to get the feeling like I was going hysterical from a bad breakup , so I cried off all my makeup and sat In the bath tub feeling sorry for myself.
Here are a few reference photos I did have access to at the time to assist me for the photoshoot.
This photo shoot was inspired by palaye royales a fever dream album cover photo, this was taken by a photographer called Nicholas.fols on Instagram. They are incredibly talented photographers and I really admire their work. I took inspiration from the clothing they wore, one of the key features being a black blazer and a lighter scarf. bye the photo is in black and white, and this is one of my favorite forms of photography, so this was the first time that I really wanted to experiment with taking black and white photos on my camera I have a black and white grainy filter built into it so this would mean I would not have to do any photo editing after the photo was done which I really like. I have tried editing the photos when they were taken with the built in black and white filter, but I did not like the effect that it gave. They looked overedited and it was not the effect that I was going for.
This was the first time that I ever experimented with black and white blurred photography, this was a modern style of photography to me and one I was not very experienced in however, on Instagram I saw that Palaye had posted some photos in collaboration where they photographer colors and flows on Instagram. They quickly became one of my all-time favorite photographers, I absolutely adore their photography style. they got this very noisy grainy texture/ filter onto the photo it gives it a feel like it is a like it was taken on a film camera which I love the vintage feel of it. They put filters over their photos to give the little white marks that go over them. I love the poses that they make the band members sit in, it is a hugely unique style from what Palaye Royale would normally do but it fits in perfectly with this album which is an important thing to note. Looking at these photos really inspired me to do my own creation and my own version of this so that is exactly what I did in this fever dream esque photoshoot.
like I said this was the first time I had ever experimented with black and white blurred photography but I learned very quickly how to change the camera settings to give me this effect easily it is important to make sure you have a slow shutter speed so that is the camera takes the photo slower giving you time to move your body and giving the photo the blurred effect. I like to set the exposure to 2.5 seconds. This gives me plenty of time any longer feels like it is too long and too much of the blurred effect.
This photo shoot was extremely successful, I managed to take some stunning photos that I am incredibly proud of. Considering this was my first time ever experimenting with this style, I am immensely proud of myself for learning how to do this so quickly. I love how you can achieve the look that you have two heads on a single photograph simply by moving as you take the photo, again it is important to note that your camera must be on a tripod and completely still otherwise the entire photo will be blurred not just the body part you are moving.
When I posted the photos online many people were shocked and stunned at how I had created photos like this, and it is an incredible feeling to know that people love my work and appreciate everything that I do. This photo shoot really started my love for this style even more and this is my favorite style of photography, and it is an incredible feeling to know that now. I did, however, decide it would be a smart idea to get a mixture of normal black and white photos and blurred photos, and I love both the styles and they work well, and they come out beautifully when printed out.

Boom Boom Room side a
This photoshoot was Inspired by the Boom boom room side A album cover by Palaye Royale. This shoot was Incredibly fun to do and was very different from anything else I had ever done. This was one of the first palaye Inspired photoshoots that I did, so this was a whole new experience for me building a whole set up and doing a whole body shoot. It was so much fun and an Incredible experience . I did as much research as I possibly could to see what Emerson Barrett wore during the 2016 time period when the album came out. One of the most Iconic things he wore was the Iconic military jacket, I knew this had to be something i wore and It worked perfectly on the photos. His big floppy pirate t hat was also something that was so on brand for him.
My plan for my hair was to edit the blue side of my hair brown so It could better fit the vibe of the photos and I am unexperienced with photo editing In that sense but I think I made It work.

The B*astards.
This photoshoot was Inspired by the B*stards album cover by Palaye royale. This was an incredibly fun photo shoot for me to do! It took me a long time to perfect the makeup look on this, I knew I wanted this makeup look to look very glamorous and very neat and put together. This was a very striking and bold look with the strong color palette used. The red and black colors in this photo shoot really makes an impressive look for this, it is one of those images that is hard to miss. This album really signifies a lot of anger the artists have been through , so wearing a lot of red and black really signifies that anger they felt. love the poses that I did for this photo shoot. I feel like I really let my personality shine on this one. I feel like I get across that I am having a really good time and I am ready to go somewhere fancy in the Palaye Royale universe of the B******* era. I feel like the red velvet dress that I wore really fits in well with the fabric that we use for the background as the background had this beautiful pattern on it and it looked very royal, red is a very royal colour so it was important to make sure it fits in with the theme.
I took a very masculine picture and made It more feminine with a glam feature to It.
