I am an Associate Professor in Finance at the Australian National University. My research interests center on the implications of financial innovation and developments on capital markets and the economy, banking and information economics, and the Chinese economy. My work has been published in top finance journals, including the Journal of Financial Economics, the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Management Science and Journal of Financial Intermediation.
I obtained my Ph.D. in Finance from the National University of Singapore. I also hold master’s degrees in Applied Economics and Physics from the University of Minnesota, and a bachelor's degree in Physics from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC).
I also worked as an investment professional at Temasek Holdings in Singapore and was a visiting scholar at the Chazen Institute of International Business at Columbia University.
