About Kelly Reagan

A Little Bit About Me...

I have a Bachelor's of Science from the University of Minnesota in Socioloy and a Master's in Secondary Social Studies Education. I also have a Specialist's Degree from Minnesota State University in Educational Leadership.

I have four boys who attend Mahtomedi Public Schools. They are in 12th, 10th, 8th, and 5th grades. Our famliy is often found at a baseball, football, or hockey game and love all of the friends we have made over the years through athletics.

The 2020-2021 school year is the beginning of my 24th year in education. I started my teaching career in South Washington County Schools in 1996. I was a Social Studies teacher and Social Studies Curriculum Coordinator in South Washington County Schools for 18 years. I served as a Site Council Representative for Lake Middle School and a member of the planning team that helped with the design and planning for opening East Ridge High School in 2009. Also as a Social Studies Curriculum Coordinator I led teams of teachers who created digital curriculum for grades 6-12. I facilitated professional development sessions for teachers when Secondary Social studies went 1:1 with iPads in 2012.

Currently I work for Apple as a Senior Professional Learning Specialist. I have worked with St. Paul Public Schools for the past six years since they went 1:1 in 2014. I work with distirct leadership, teachers, support staff, and students as they innovate classroom lessons with technology.

In additon to my professional experiences I have given back to the community in other ways. I believe in supporting extra curriculuar endeavors as well, where student-athletes learn life-long lessons of being a part of a team, working collaboratively to achieve goals, and to learn how to work hard and perservere through challenges. I have supported Mahtomedi Youth Athletics by serving on the Mahtomedi Youth Hockey Association Board as the Girls Hockey Director. Also I have coached a traveling hockey team for the past five years. Plus I served six years on the Mahtomedi Youth Football Board. Most recently I served as a member of Mahtomedi Schools' Strategic Planning Team working on the inititaive "Learning and Teaching Without Barriers."

I am a dedicated educator and want to work together with the rest of the Mahtomedi School Board to make this school distirct an even better one for all students. I want to help support the district's mission that states, "Engage, challenge, and inspire all students!"
