Kelley Bortner is the author of TITANIC Jessie and Lifeboat #9: The Untold Story. The story is about Jessie, Kelley's great-grandmother, how she came to be on the Titanic, her horrific experience during the sinking, and what happened afterward.
The story is a culmination of three newspaper interviews given by Jessie, information and stories provided from her family members, family images, immigration, birth and death records, and putting together the pieces into one book about her journey.
Meet Kelley
Kelley lives in the greater Grand Rapids, MI area with her husband near their many children. She is a presenter and Gifted Education Consultant. She is also an Instructional Designer and Technologist, and an Adjunct Professor at Grand Valley State University.
