Teaching, Learning, and Technology Statement
Teaching students what is relevant and related to their everyday lives is vital. When students identify with relevancy, they are motivated to learn and apply what they have learned, bringing psychological awareness alive and increasing their drive to learn new material. When students are actively engaged in their learning, they learn more effectively. Passive strategies are not as conducive to deep learning as lessons in which students learn by doing. Technology is a tool designed to assist in integrating digital learning resources into classrooms so that students can engage in relevant 21st-century learning experiences.
