I am a geographer with an interdisciplinary background in geomatics and humanitarianism.
I am currently an Associate Research Fellow on the Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) Programme at the Institute of Defence and Strategic Studies, S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS), Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. I obtained a Bachelor of Science (Geography) from the University of the Philippines and was a Disaster Monitoring and Analysis Officer at the AHA Centre from 2020-2023. I am also currently a member of the ASEAN Emergency Response and Assessment Team and was deployed to Myanmar for the Cyclone MOCHA response operations. My research interests include humanitarian technology, geospatial analysis for HADR, and ASEAN disaster management.
Description: Research on Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) to facilitate and enhance cooperation on preparedness and response strategies through a comprehensive investigation of regional emergency response frameworks, governance issues, disaster preparedness strategies and the identification and development of response niches for civilian and military actors.
