Keisha began playing the harp at the age of 12 and began to hone her craft as a musician. When she was younger she saw a woman playing the harp on television and told her mother, "I want to play that when I grow up," and she did. She toured with the American Youth Harp Ensemble, where she played in numerous concerts to include Carnegie Hall, Maastricht Germany, and in Paris. Keisha has played for many weddings and social gatherings. She has begun to combine her love of the harp with her compassion for healing to provide relaxation and comfort to others.
Keisha grew up visiting her local library in Richmond, VA to attend programs and gained a love for reading. She volunteered for the system when she was in high school, and eventually worked as an administrative assistant for the Fairfax County Public Library system. Her experience in the public library setting inspired her to want to write for kids to create more diversity in books. In January 2023, she self-published her first book "I Need A Friend" inspired by her two children. She published her second book, "What If We Went?...", in 2024.
At a very young age Keisha began to volunteer for a variety of programs and causes. This sparked a love for volunteerism and being an active member in the community. As Keisha gained experience from working in local government, she was inspired to become more involved in her locality. She serves as an executive member on the local NAACP and Keep Prince William Beautiful. In addition, she is also a member of the Solid Waste Advisory Group and serves on the Superintendent's Advisory Council on Equity as Secretary. Keisha is committed to making sure that the community she lives in is great for people from all walks of life.
