Since 1988, ‘Īao United Church of Christ  (‘Īao UCC) has honored its members from ages 80 and older with a special celebration called Keiro no Hi. The term translates to  "respect for the aged / elderly," and members who reach the ages of 80 and 88 during the current year are especially honored at an event held  in early September. This date coincides with Grandparents' Day.  Since 2020, the pandemic has limited celebrations. Despite this, we continue the tradition in a limited capacity. 

2026: Kahu Kalani Wong is our current Bridge Minister. He will work with a new search committee for a settled pastor. We celebrated Keiro no Hi on September 13 this year.
