"Collaborative Value Creation"
In today’s world, achieving both social and economic value is essential for sustainable development.
However, the challenges our society faces have become more complex and advanced. This makes it difficult to solve them from just one academic field or perspective. That’s why we need interdisciplinary approaches that connect knowledge from different areas. Also, working together with companies is very important to recognize social issues and apply research results to real life.
At the Nakagawa Lab, we focus on interdisciplinary research that combines business studies (especially finance) with information science (mainly AI and machine learning). Our goal is to produce valuable research through this collaboration.
I also aim to bridge academic research and practical business experience (industry-academia collaboration), using my own background in both fields. I believe it’s important to create value for both academics and practitioners.
I am also committed to helping grow the next generation of researchers and professionals who share this mission. By working with experts from various fields—both in academia and industry—we can build strong networks and expand the reach of our knowledge and solutions.
I believe this kind of collaboration is the key to balancing social and economic value and creating a better, more sustainable future.
My research focuses on the interdisciplinary integration of business studies, especially finance, and information science, mainly AI and machine learning. Based on my practical and academic experience, I aim to contribute to both academic knowledge and real-world applications.
A key feature of my research is that it works in both directions: not only using information science to advance finance, but also using insights from finance to improve methods in information science. I also place importance on producing meaningful insights for real-world problems from an academic perspective, while applying practical experience to academic research.
