Who are we?
We are a group of motivated students aiming to develop innovative products for a sustainable future. At CHEF@HOME we provide COOKING Assistance to make anyone an epicure. We make traditional, healthy, authentic & simple Cook It Yourself kits along with instruction videos.
Logic Behind the Name
The journey of ChefAtHome FoodTech began in May 2020 when a nationwide lockdown was imposed in India due to the pandemic. We started the process of registration in May 2021.
There was a very simple thought behind naming our startup as ChefAtHome FoodTech. We wanted to reduce the effort in cooking so that people develop an interest in cooking. The reason behind the suffix FoodTech is that we aim to solve the problems faced in the food industry with innovative technological solutions.
Our Motivation
An average Indian wastes approximately 50kg of food every year. Fun fact – the amount of rice consumed by an average Indian is 50kg per year. The amount of food wasted is equal to the amount of food consumed in a year. This is indeed a glum situation.
Even if we consider only 1000 people, 50 tons of food is wasted. But if these 1000 people become our customers we can reduce this wastage of food significantly. Our meal kits also help in reducing wastage of food as it is packed with the ingredients in the right proportion.
