Keepsi (“the app”) is a private, local-first screenshot organizer for iOS and Android, published by Liron Shiryon (“we”, “us”).
This policy describes what Keepsi does with information on your device. It is written to match how the app actually works.
Your screenshots never leave your device through Keepsi.
Keepsi does not create accounts, does not sync your library to our servers, and does not upload screenshots, thumbnails, recognized text, notes, collection names, search terms, or reminders to us. After install, the app is designed to work in airplane mode.

We do not operate a Keepsi cloud service that stores your screenshot library.
Keepsi may process the following on your device only, after you grant the relevant permission or take the relevant action:

Screenshots stay in your device photo library. Keepsi does not keep a second full-resolution copy of every screenshot in the app sandbox.
Encryption keys used by Keepsi stay in the platform Keychain / Android Keystore. The local database and caches are excluded from automatic device backup where the platforms allow that.
We do not collect, receive, or store:
your screenshots or thumbnails
OCR text, notes, collection names, or search queries
account credentials (there is no Keepsi account)
advertising identifiers for ads (there are no ads)
analytics or tracking profiles
crash reports that contain screenshot content
Keepsi does not include advertising SDKs, affiliate SDKs, behavioral analytics SDKs, remote generative-AI APIs, external OCR APIs, or third-party crash reporters that upload user content.
Permissions are requested only for features you use. Denying a permission limits that feature; it does not cause Keepsi to upload anything.
Photos / media
Used to find and display screenshots already on the device. Limited / selected photo access is supported. Full access is recommended if you want every screenshot discovered automatically. Keepsi does not add new photos to your library as part of normal use. Deleting a photo from the library uses the system confirmation UI.
Notifications
Used for reminders you create and optional local review or cleanup alerts. Notification permission is not required to organize or search.
Biometrics (Face ID / fingerprint)
Used only if you enable app lock or private collections. Biometric data is handled by the operating system, not by Keepsi servers.
Background work (Android)
Used for best-effort local screenshot scanning and to reschedule local notifications after reboot. The operating system may delay background work.
Keepsi does not need a network connection for organizing, searching, or reminding.
The device may still use the network in these cases, which are not Keepsi uploading your library:
You open a link or map. If you confirm opening a source URL or address, the system browser or maps app handles that request. Keepsi does not automatically fetch page metadata when a link is shared in.
Android OCR language packs. Optional language data downloads only after you choose to install them, stays on the device, and is not a screenshot upload.
App installation and updates. Downloading Keepsi from the App Store or Google Play is handled by Apple or Google.
Operating-system photo sync. If iCloud Photos, Google Photos, or another OS backup syncs your camera roll, that is the operating system’s behavior, not a Keepsi cloud feature.
If you use share-into-Keepsi or home-screen widgets, related preview data may be stored in a local app-group / shared storage area on the device so those features can work. Private items are not shown as screenshot pixels on widgets. Lock-screen widgets do not show screenshot previews.
You may export an encrypted backup of Keepsi metadata. A forgotten export password cannot be recovered by us. The export contains Keepsi organization data (and optional thumbnails only if you opt in), not full-resolution originals from your photo library.
You control where that file is saved or sent. If you email it, upload it, or store it in a cloud folder, those services’ privacy policies apply to that copy.
Keepsi is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
You can:
revoke photo, notification, or biometric permissions in system Settings
remove an item from Keepsi (deletes Keepsi’s metadata for that item)
delete a screenshot from Photos / your gallery using the system confirmation flow
delete all Keepsi metadata in the app (wipes the local database, caches, and widget snapshot; originals in the photo library are left untouched)
uninstall the app, which removes Keepsi’s local data from the device
Because we do not host your screenshot library, there is no Keepsi cloud account to delete.
On-device Keepsi data remains until you delete it, clear Keepsi metadata, or uninstall the app. We do not retain your screenshots or OCR text on our servers because we do not receive them.
We do not transfer your screenshot library to other countries through Keepsi, because we do not collect it. If you contact us through GitHub or email, that correspondence is handled by those providers.
If the app’s privacy behavior changes, we will update this policy and the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
