If you want a wired in-ear monitor with deep, warm bass and a gaming-focused sound signature that feels built for long sessions, choose keephifi KZ EDX Pro; if you need rugged durability with an aluminum alloy shell and superior passive noise isolation for professional monitoring or stage use, choose CCYLEZ Professional Monitor Headphones.
• keephifi KZ EDX Pro: Delivers rich, low-frequency heavy sound tuned for electronic music and gaming, but comes with only one ear tip per package and no warranty beyond the standard year.
• CCYLEZ Professional: Features a premium aluminum alloy build and includes four sets of silicone tips for a secure fit, though its sensitivity is lower and it lacks the specific bass boost of the KZ.
• Best for: The KZ suits gamers and ACG listeners who prioritize a "fun" sound; the CCYLEZ fits musicians and professionals needing a neutral, durable tool for noisy environments.
The keephifi KZ EDX Pro is designed for those who want their audio to hit hard and fast. At the heart of this unit sits a 10mm composite magnetic dynamic driver capable of diving into frequencies as low as 10Hz. This isn't just about loudness; it is about density. If you listen to electronic dance music, heavy instrumentals, or play video games where explosive sound effects matter, this tuning hits the sweet spot. The manufacturer describes the sound as popular and oriented toward ACG (Anime, Comic, Games), meaning the mids are clear enough for vocals while the lows provide a solid, immersive foundation.
Durability is handled through a mix of materials that feel substantial without being bulky. The housing uses imported resin molded at high temperatures with a UV varnish finish, giving it a sleek look available in Classic Black, Cyan, or White. Inside, the earpiece shape features a hook design that helps anchor the unit in your ear, which is crucial when you are moving around during a gaming session or commuting. The cable itself is a significant upgrade over generic options; it is a 5N OFC anaerobic copper flat cable. This flat design prevents tangling, a common frustration for anyone carrying gear in a bag, and the gold-plated 0.75mm pins allow you to swap out the cable later if you want to experiment with different sounds.
However, there are trade-offs you must accept before buying. The packaging explicitly notes that the newer versions come with only one pair of ear tips, whereas older stock might have had more. This means you cannot immediately test multiple sizes if the single included tip does not fit your unique ear canal perfectly. Additionally, while the microphone works well with Android phones and MP3 players, users should be aware that compatibility issues can arise with other devices. It is also worth noting that this is a passive noise-cancelling model; it blocks sound physically but does not use electronics to silence the world.

This product is best for adults who are serious about audio fidelity on a budget, particularly gamers and music enthusiasts who enjoy a warm, bass-forward presentation. It is less ideal for parents looking for a "set it and forget it" solution for children who might lose accessories easily, given the single-tip limitation and the fact that the age range description specifies "Adult." If you are shopping for best with microphone in ear earbuds for children, this model is likely too specialized and adult-oriented for younger users who need simplicity and extra spare parts.
The CCYLEZ Professional Monitor Headphones take a different approach, prioritizing build quality and isolation over a specific "bass-heavy" tuning. The most striking difference is the construction. While many competitors rely solely on plastic, these units combine a resin body with an aluminum alloy panel. This combination offers a distinct aesthetic of elegance mixed with industrial toughness. For a musician practicing in a loud room or a singer performing on stage, this rigidity suggests a device that can withstand the physical demands of professional use better than a purely plastic alternative.
Sound reproduction here relies on a 10mm biological diaphragm dynamic driver. This component is marketed for refined clarity and enhanced bass, aiming for a studio-grade experience. The frequency response ranges from 20Hz to 20KHz, covering the full audible spectrum without exaggerating the extremes. The cable is another standout feature, constructed from silver-plated copper with four strands. Silver plating is often used in high-end audio to reduce interference and preserve signal integrity, ensuring that what you hear is exactly what was recorded without the noise floor creeping in.
Comfort is addressed with an ergonomic design and a detachable cable that wraps around the ear. But the real winner for practical users is the inclusion of four pairs of soft silicone ear tips in the box. In a market where manufacturers often skimp on extras, having three additional sizes allows you to find the perfect seal. A good seal is critical for the passive noise isolation these headphones promise, effectively blocking external noise in noisy environments like gyms, concerts, or travel. The impedance is 16 ohms, which is quite low compared to the 24 ohms of the KZ, suggesting these might drive easier on mobile devices without needing a dedicated amplifier.
This product is tailored for professionals, audiophiles who prefer a flatter response, and anyone who values having backup accessories on hand. The aluminum build makes it feel robust, suitable for daily abuse. However, the sensitivity is rated at 100dB, which is lower than the 112dB found on the KZ EDX Pro. This means you may need to turn up the volume slightly more on some sources to get the same perceived loudness, though the efficiency of the driver compensates somewhat. Like the KZ, this is not an active noise-canceling system; it relies entirely on the physical seal of the ear tips and the ear hook design to dampen the environment.
While excellent for adults, the question remains whether it fits the needs of younger users. The "Professional" branding and the specific focus on studio monitors suggest a target audience of trained ears. If you are searching for neckband headphones for children or any solution specifically designed for small ears, this professional-grade IEM might still be a stretch due to the lack of child-specific sizing or safety features. Yet, for a student or teenager starting to explore music production, the included four pairs of tips make it a very forgiving option for finding a comfortable fit.
• Best for deep bass and gaming: The keephifi KZ EDX Pro wins here with its 10Hz low-frequency dive and ACG-tuned sound profile that emphasizes impact.
• Best for durability and build: The CCYLEZ takes the lead with its aluminum alloy panels, offering a more rugged chassis for rough handling.
• Best value on accessories: The CCYLEZ is the clear winner, providing four silicone ear tips compared to the single tip included with the KZ.
• Best for easy driving on phones: The CCYLEZ has a lower impedance (16 ohms) compared to the KZ (24 ohms), making it slightly easier to power directly from a phone jack.
• Best for sound isolation: Both offer passive isolation, but the CCYLEZ's design with multiple tip options ensures a better seal for blocking external noise in chaotic environments.
• Best for cable upgrades: The keephifi KZ EDX Pro features a standard 0.75mm pin system that is widely compatible with aftermarket cables, appealing to modders.
• Best for visual style: The keephifi KZ EDX Pro offers color choices (Black, Cyan, White), while the CCYLEZ is limited to a silver finish.
• Best for children: Neither is explicitly designed for kids, but the CCYLEZ is slightly more accessible for young learners due to the extra ear tips and robust build, provided they are supervised.
I would personally buy the CCYLEZ Professional Monitor Headphones. The reason is simple: the inclusion of four ear tips and the aluminum alloy build provides a much more complete and reliable user experience right out of the box. While the keephifi KZ EDX Pro has a fun, bass-heavy sound that gamers will love, the fact that it ships with only one ear tip is a significant inconvenience. If the included tip doesn't fit, you are stuck until you buy replacements. The CCYLEZ solves this immediately. Furthermore, the silver-plated cable and aluminum housing suggest a device built to last longer under pressure.
For families considering this for children, the CCYLEZ is the safer bet simply because of the versatility in fit. A growing child might need a different size within months, and having spares on hand is invaluable. The KZ is a fantastic piece of hardware for an adult audiophile or gamer who knows exactly what they want, but the CCYLEZ feels like a more thoughtful package for a broader audience. If you are looking for best spatial audio wireless earbuds for children, neither of these wired models will serve that purpose, but for wired monitoring, the CCYLEZ offers the better balance of performance and practicality.
Yes, both models offer passive noise isolation which helps block out ambient noise on planes or trains. The CCYLEZ might perform slightly better in this regard due to the ability to select from four different ear tip sizes to ensure a tight seal.
Both models feature a standard 3.5mm jack and are generally compatible with smartphones, tablets, and computers. The keephifi KZ EDX Pro explicitly mentions compatibility with Android devices regarding its microphone function, while the CCYLEZ focuses on broad connectivity for musicians.
The keephifi KZ EDX Pro is tuned for warmth and deep bass, making it ideal for electronic music and gaming. The CCYLEZ focuses on clarity and a biological diaphragm for a more balanced, studio-grade sound suitable for monitoring.
Yes, both models support detachable cables. The KZ uses a 0.75mm 2-pin connector, and the CCYLEZ uses a micro miniature coaxial interface, allowing you to upgrade the wiring for different sound characteristics or durability.
