This Privacy Policy explains how Keepcut: Seller Fee & Profit ("Keepcut", "the app", "we", "us") handles information. Keepcut is a fully offline calculator that helps online sellers estimate marketplace fees, profit, pricing and maximum buying costs.
Keepcut is designed so that your information stays on your device. We do not operate any servers for the app, and the app does not connect to the internet.
We do not collect, receive, or store any personal data through the app.
Keepcut has no user accounts, sign-in, or registration. It contains no advertising, analytics, tracking, or crash-reporting tools. It does not use cookies, device identifiers, or advertising IDs.
The app requests no Android permissions. It cannot access your location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos, or files, except a file you choose yourself as described in Section 4.
The app does not have internet permission and cannot send any data off your device on its own.
To work, Keepcut stores the information you enter locally on your device, inside the app's private storage. This includes:
Settings: your chosen currency, tax label, tax registration status and rate, price-ending preference, display theme, and similar preferences.
Fee profiles: the marketplace fee profiles you create or edit, including fee rates, fixed fees, notes, and the date you last checked them.
Saved items (Shelf): item names, notes, prices, costs, returns assumptions, targets, and calculated results you choose to save.
Work in progress: the item you are currently working on, saved automatically so it is not lost if the app is closed.
This information never leaves your device unless you choose to export or share it (see Section 4). We cannot access it.
Keepcut is set to be excluded from Android's automatic cloud backup. Your app data is therefore not copied to your Google account backup by the app.
Some features involve information leaving the app, but only when you deliberately start them.
Export CSV: The app creates a spreadsheet file of your saved items and opens your device's share menu. You choose where it goes, such as an email, messaging, or file app. The app you choose handles the file under its own privacy policy.
Backup and restore: The app uses your device's system file picker. A backup file is saved only to the location you select, and a restore reads only the file you select. Backup files are not encrypted by the app, so store them somewhere you trust.
Contact Us: This opens your email app with our address filled in. The message is pre-filled with the app version, your Android version, and your device model to help us respond to support requests. You can review or delete these details before sending. We only receive what you choose to send.
Rate Us: This opens the Google Play Store app, or Google Play in your web browser, so you can leave a rating. Any activity there is handled by Google under Google's own privacy policy.
If you email us, we receive your email address, your message, and any details you choose to include. We use this information only to reply to you and to improve the app.
We do not sell it, share it for marketing, or combine it with other data. We keep correspondence only as long as needed to handle your request, and then delete it. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share any information with third parties. The app contains no third-party software development kits (SDKs) for advertising, analytics, or data collection.
Keepcut is distributed through Google Play. Google may collect information related to app downloads, installs, and device performance, such as aggregated install statistics or crash data from users who have enabled this in their Android settings. Google handles this information under its own privacy policy, available at https://policies.google.com/privacy. The app itself sends nothing to Google or to us.
Information stored in the app remains on your device until you delete it. You can:
Delete individual saved items or fee profiles within the app.
Clear all app data via your device's Settings → Apps → Keepcut → Storage → Clear data.
Uninstall the app, which removes all of its stored data from your device.
Exported files and backup files that you saved elsewhere are not removed by uninstalling. You can delete them yourself from wherever you saved them.
Your app data is kept in Keepcut's private storage area, which Android protects from access by other apps. Because the app does not transmit data, your information is not exposed to network-based risks through the app.
No method of storage is completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your device, for example with a screen lock, and any files you export.
Keepcut is a business tool for sellers and is not directed at children under 13. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Because the app does not collect personal data, we hold no personal data about you from your use of the app. Your data stays under your control on your device.
If you have contacted us by email, you may ask us to access, correct, or delete that correspondence by writing to the address below.
Keepcut provides estimates based on the values you enter, including fee values you can edit. It is not financial, tax, or accounting advice. Keepcut is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any marketplace or payment provider.
We may update this Privacy Policy if the app's features or data practices change. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Significant changes will also be reflected in the app's in-app Privacy Policy.
