Notice that initially when the lockscreen is activated it starts to dim almost immediately. If you come out of the screen blanking by moving the mouse or hitting a key it will thenactivate screen blanking according to your brightness and lock setting.

On iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max, the Always-On display setting allows a dimmed version of your Lock Screen to stay visible, even when your iPhone is locked. By glancing at the dimmed screen, you can check essential information, like notifications, the date and time, and information in your widgets.

I know this has been posted before but I couldn't find the information. I'm having a hag of a time with the F-18's radar. I understand the concept just fine. Increasing/Decreasing Elevation, etc etc. But say I have an aircraft heading for me at 20 miles. About my level. I can see it on my radar no problem (I can also see the Datalink indication). But I can't lock it up. And if I AM able to lock it up, guaranteed I'm going to lose lock about 2 seconds after. I'm honestly getting pretty fed up. Even setting up aircraft in the mission editor so I know exactly where to look etc etc. I've watched every tutorial from Redkite and GR (I know but I was desperate) and that is just not how this radar is working for me. It's honestly ruining it for me. Can anyone give me some tips? This can't be right.

On GR/2 the back button can be set to lock hold AF+AE, this is beneficial because once locked you get a distance scale that can be fine tuned with mf directly. Locking both stabilizes the exposure so can recompose then exp compensate without it jumping all over the place as it recalculates the scene. Then once taken a shot on GR/2, everything is still locked - so can take another shot recomposed without having to tinker with the exposure again. Also on the GR/2, it is possible to keep the function of the shutter button for normal quick af/ae snapping or choose to back button af/ae lock - which then disables the shutter button for af. It works really well.

GR3 has the screen tapping advantage and other ui enhancements -- but not being able to simultaneously back button hold lock ae/af is terrible for a certain setup i use. (AV mode, auto iso -- so all i need to input is exp comp to keep my highlights where i want them).

- setting the back button to af+ae lock - only locks them whilst the button is pressed. even with the setting keep ae lock held on, nothing is locked not even ae. AE is only locked when the fn button is set to ae lock only.

Then you can just AF as normal then hit Fn to lock focus (puts it in MF). Then just use half press of the shutter button to lock the AE and recompose if needed. If you dont fully release the shutter you can take multiple shots that are locked AE and AF.

I'd like to have the lock screen stay active for longer than 5 seconds. Too many times I've not seen a notification come through. I'd like to have it stay on for at least 5 minutes for shutting down. I'm suprised a "lock screen delay" option isn't a general setting available to unjailbreaked phones.

If you swipe down on the lock screen to view the notifications screen and then swipe it up and out of the way again, then the lock screen will stay on (on the wallpaper view) for about twenty seconds instead of five. At least on iOS 9.3.2 it does. I know that's not what you're asking about and this post is from two years ago, but I discovered this and decided to share it hoping that my discovery can help out someone in the future who's looking to extend the time the lock screen is on for.

I have a HP laptop with Windows 10 installed. Whenever I boot into Windows 10, I always need to turn ON Num Lock before entering PIN. This is annoying because I always keep my Num Lock ON (even at the time of previous shut down).

My problem was that while starting an application (and old one that nothing replaces it yet so I'm stuck with it - Nortel BCM to be precise) that application tries to be cute and to turn on NumLock, but in facts toggles it, and only for itself !So, I was stuck with that application having numlock on, an Numlock off outside that application... drives me crazy since I use a lot the Numpad for numbers.

Ok, so the reg edit DOES work. But only when you turn fast boot OFF.You probably have fast boot turned on (which this is the default setting). If you desire to keep Numlock on at boot, you should do the regedit AND turn fast boot off.

Yes, please Figma-Team, can we have the aspect-ratio-lock behave like the OP suggested? As much as I love all the smart little details in Figma, this current behavior is an absolute strange oddity within all design software out there. Probably every other app does this right(er) than Figma.

This is a missing feature to make truly responsive designs. A lot of websites and apps have a page with a grid of thumbnails with fixed aspect ratio. Currently there is no way to have these thumbnails keep their aspect ratio with auto layout, so the only way to do so is by using some tricks like this: -aspect-ratio-in-Figma-Auto-Layout

The crime triangle represents the factors that enable crime to occur. If one of the triangle's sides is broken by your action, or the police, the crime cannot occur. In most cases, if people remove visible valuables from their vehicles, lock their vehicles, and park in a secure and well-lit area, then crime will be prevented.

Vehicle Burglary is the theft of property (any value) from a locked vehicle. This is a felony. Theft of property from an unlocked vehicle, however, is generally a misdemeanor, unless the value of the stolen property is equal to or greater than $950.

I'm using a 3rd party utility to set very eye pleasing wallpapers on my 2013 MacBook Pro running macOS Mojave 10.14.2. Now I don't get to enjoy the beautiful sceneries in the background while I'm working but when I leave my desk, it would be really nice to leave the machine on (and locked) so that I can enjoy these gorgeous wallpapers.

But what I want to do is lock them in place, so they stay next to the text and flow with it, so when I edit text on the text layer, the images etc move with it and stay with the text I positioned them with.

I have created a Python package for use with python toolboxes (.pyt) which does a lot of the file management and parameter management grunt work that I need my tools to do. The point of this is to greatly simplify file naming and working with file directories as well as allowing me to access parameter values by name rather than index, all of which works well. The user selects an output workspace, and depending on various other parameters the user sets and the nature of the output workspace, a file GDB is created. An external script is called and this GDB is passed to it, all "intermediate" files which are outputs of other ESRI tools called in the script but not intended to be the final output of the script are stored in this file GDB. The script completes and the final outputs are written to disk, and then the script tries to clean up by deleting all of the files out of the GDB and remove the GDB. The point is to give the user the option of keeping these files or deleting them if they are not needed, since many can be used to review the output or used in further geoprocessing.

The problem is that sometimes the file GDB is NOT completely deleted. All of the actual data in the GDB is removed and all of the files required for the GDB to function as a GDB are removed, but a few .lock files pertaining to a single raster dataset produced in the workflow remain along with the .GDB folder. It seems to depend on the actual arcpy functions that I use to create these intermediate files, as some files created by some functions just really do not appreciate being deleted.

In the image below, you can see the file GDB is not entirely removed, a nonfunctional "remnant" .gdb folder is left with a few .lock files inside. All of these .lock files pertain to a Pour_Point_Raster dataset which was saved to this file GDB during the script. The dataset itself was removed successfully, along with all other "intermediate" datasets, yet the .lock files for this particular dataset remain. Closing ArcMap causes these .lock files to dissapear and the .gdb folder can then be removed.

The main body of the script. The image below shows the bit of the package that runs after the above script has been completed (somewhere around when the output window says "Finalizing..." Note that the issue is not related to the file name/path not being listed in self._intm_file_list, all "intermediate" files were purged from the file GDB and only the .lock files pertaining to the Pour_Points_Raster remained. Also note that Compact_management() does not work (and removing this line doesn't fix the problem either). ff782bc1db
