WORLD SPACE WEEK: Debate Night

Debate Night Collaboration with Debate Society. 

In collaboration with the Debate Society, SPARK is co-hosting a casual debate night on the various themes of "Living in Space". 

Topics of discussion may include: Space Tourism, AI and Robotics, Purpose of Habitation on Other Planets, Public versus Private Sector Influence in Space Industry, and Moon versus Mars Colonisation. 

WORLD SPACE WEEK: Evening Stargazing

Evening stargazing at Keele Observatory. 

After dark, we target the Moon and Saturn through the 151-year-old 31cm Grubb refractor telescope. 

Child-friendly activities will be run alongside the observing queue. 

Observation is weather-dependent. 

WORLD SPACE WEEK: Movie Night

Movie Night Collaboration with STEM Society. 

In collaboration with the STEM Society, SPARK is co-hosting a movie night. 

Both Hidden Figures and October Sky will be shown back-to-back. 

Do consider joining (if you are a member of either society), as this will be a great opportunity to meet like-minded people from another society at a fun and relaxing social event. 

WORLD SPACE WEEK: Space-Themed Crafts Night

Crafts Night Collaboration with Craft Society. 

In collaboration with Craft Society, SPARK will be co-hosting a space-themed crafts night. 

Paper craft activities will be hosted; the main activity will be crafting a paper plate UFO.
