I thought His Royal Majesty the King, Sovereign of Illinois, JB Pritzker, was stripped of his power and ability to make Royal Decrees.
While it is true that the cases Madison County are on the rise and have been for 8 weeks, it is also true that the death rates are low and have remained so. In the last 8 days six (6) people have allegedly died of Wuhan flu, 2 in their 90s, 3 in their 80s, and 1 sixty year-old.
It is also true that we can't attribute this rise in positivity to anything in particular, but for the sake of argument, let's say it is restaurants and bars causing the spike. To that I say, "So what if there's a spike. If you're a healthy adult, you'll be fine." Not to sound callous, but if an 70, 80, or 90 year old catches the common cold, it can quickly turn to pneumonia and cause death. This is nothing new.
Perhaps the better strategy would be if you are over 70 years old, perhaps you should stay out of the bars, but it should be your choice. If you want to visit your parents or grandma, stay out of restaurants or wear a mask if you choose.
