Yes, that is my actual last name...

... and I'm not the only one with that name. There are a few folks in the States with the name, but in my case my family has been living in South-Africa for a couple of generations.

While it's quite common in the States to abbreviate names, I prefer the full 'Kenneth'. I also use he/him pronouns.

Besides my research interests, I like to think of myself as a math dilettante; I in particular enjoy discrete mathematics.
I listen, play and write music; my taste includes (but is not limited to) pop, (experimental) hip-hop, classical (Baroque and (late) Romantic), and metal.
I enjoy both working out and bouldering.
I dabble in a partner dance called Zouk.
I also dabble in certain skill toys, think of juggling, yoyo'ing and diabolo.

Here's a small game I made.

For people not familiar with quantum or math, just think of this as a fun game, where part of the fun is trying to explore what the different operations and colors mean. It turns out that this game is closely connected to the combinatorics hiding behind stabilizer entanglement, something I am interested in better understanding.
