About KCYL

Knanaya Catholic Youth League (KCYL) was started for the Knanaya youths in Kottayam Diocese, India, in 1969. Now it became an international organisation having units in different countries of the world.

This is the first organisation started for the youth in a diocesan level. This is started as an initiative of Justice Cyriac Joseph and by the blessings of Mar Thomas Tharayil, the then bishop of Kottayam Diocese .

The first name of the organisation was Catholic Association of University Students (CAUS) and later renamed to Knanaya Catholic Youth League in 1970.
