2022 Kern County Science Fair

Hundreds of 4th through 12th graders annually participate in the Kern County Science Fair for a chance to move onto the California Science Fair. Students are interviewed to demonstrate understanding of their display, log book and their hypothesis. Entries are judged on scientific thought/engineering goals, creativity, organization, completeness, clarity, effort and motivation.

This year's Science Fair is being held March 15, 2022 at Bakersfield's Mechanics Bank Theater. The Kern County Science Fair is sponsored by the Kern County Science Foundation.

School Science Coordinators can register your student participants here: https://kern.org/science-foundation/kern-county-science-fair/

Prospective Science Fair Judges can register at the same link.
