The Kent County Senior Men's Softball League was founded in 2010 by a group of local softball players. The Founding Father's were Ron Love, Eddie Goodhand, Bob Boyles, Dickie Morris and Steve Arnold. In years past, these men would travel weekly to play on teams in Wilmington and Georgetown, because there wasn't a senior league established to play ball in Kent County.
They decided that with the senior population growing it was time to form a recreational league in Kent County. The founding father's vision for this league was to enjoy the spirit of the game and the camaraderie of their peers. The stage was then set for the beginning of a senior recreational league on Sunday afternoon's in Smyrna, at Big Oak Park.
Fast forward to the present, the league plays twice a week and continues to grow every year under the leadership of the Kent County Senior Men's Softball League Board of Directors.
