ACTIVITIES & PROJECTS:
Voter Registration, Voter Education, Voter & Community Outreach, Community Service, Help Democrats running for office in local elections, Canvassing for Democrats during election season, etc.

The History of the Kings County Jimmy Carter Democratic Club

On the way home from the 2016 California Democratic Party Convention in San Jose, four women from Kings County decided that they needed to create a club for Kings County separate from the Kings County Democratic Central Committee (KCDCC) which is an elected body directly under the California Democratic Party. The KCDCC at that time was not very visible or interactive with Democrats or voters in our communities. None of the four ladies where members of KCDCC in 2016. Other counties had clubs named for Lincoln, Kennedy or FDR. These ladies talked about social justice issues and Barbara Hill thought of Jimmy Carter. He was underrated and make a huge impact during and after his presidency. They created by-laws and officially formed the Kings County Jimmy Carter Democratic Club.

Today in 2025, our club is a charter under the KCDCC and several of our members are elected representatives on the KCDCC. Any registered Democrat in Kings County is welcome to become a member.
