QUILT SHOW ENTRY INFORMATION
Entry Information and Requirements:
· There are no entry fees.
· An individual may submit up to three (3) entries.
· Winners will receive a ribbon and will be recognized during the show.
· Completed legible entry form(s) received, signed and dated, by announced deadline.
· A photo of quilt along with entry form is helpful but not required.
· Due to spacing limits at the venue, it may be necessary to limit the number of quilts entered.
· Entry Divisions and Categories
o Divisions are determined by the ‘maker(s)’ of the quilt – the person who made the quilt (this will typically be the entrant)
o “ACCOMPLISHED” Division refers to any quilt maker/entrant that has earned an award ribbon at any quilt show
o “ARTISAN” Division refers to any quilt maker/entrant who primarily quilts as a hobby or for personal use or gifts and has never won an award in any quit show
· The Entries Committee reserves the right to determine final placement of quilts in Divisions and/or Categories. Every effort will be made to contact the Entrant prior to the quilt show.
Preparing your quilt for entry:
· All entries should have a fabric identification label attached to the bottom corner of the back of the item that includes name and title of the quilt. Please baste or safety pin a plain piece of fabric over the label so that personal information is hidden for judging.
· The quilt should have a hanging sleeve that has either been stitched or safety pinned (no straight pins) to the top edge of the back of the quit. If the quilt is longer than 82”, please place the hanging sleeve at 82” from the bottom of the sleeve to the bottom of the quilt or pin up the bottom of your quilt so it will not touch the floor.
· A copy of your entry form should be visibly attached to the quilt’s protective case. We encourage you to place your quilted item in a cloth bag/pillowcase, so that it may be protected before the show and returned to you in that bag after the show. (Plastic is acceptable if you choose, but not a trash bag, please.)
· Although every precaution will be taken to protect your entry, we cannot be responsible for damage or loss.
Submitting and Picking Up your quilt for the show:
· Quilt show items should be brought to the KC Hall at 22892 Mack Washington Rd, Hempstead between 3pm and 6pm on Thursday, November 13, 2025. (The KC Hall is located down the road beside Taco Bell at Hwy 290 and FM 1488.)
· Quilts will be hung on Thursday prior to the show, judged on Friday, and must hang throughout the show Saturday.
· Quilts may be picked up between 1pm and 3pm on Sunday, the day after the show, at the KC Hall. ***NO EARLY OR LATE PICKUP WILL BE AVAILABLE***
· If you cannot personally pick up your quilt during the times listed, you will be asked to identify an alternate person to pick up your quilt. Please be prepared to identify the alternate person when you drop off your quilt prior to the show. Your alternate must provide ID on Sunday, so we are sure to return your quilt to the correct individual.
