What we do

Kan Baw Za Youth Library has five programs and co-operation with multi stakeholders

• Library Program - Library services, Education services and Mobile library services

• Agriculture Program - Organic farming training, Book publishing & Documentary film

• Environmental Program - Awareness on Environmental issues and doing exhibitions

• Capacity Building Programs - Under this program, we have Civic Education, Good Governance, Women Peace and Security, Drugs Issue, Voter Education, Mobile Information Literacy, Human Trafficking and Risky Migration and Teen Age Program for Leadership and Technical skills by working together with Government (Election Commission, Information and Public Relation Department etc), Local NGOs, INGOs, CBOs and Community Libraries from Shan and Kayah States

• Civic Engagement Hub Program - Enhancing engagement between Authority, CSO & Community through Awareness Sections, Campaign & Social Media

Where we work

Kan Baw Za Youth Library and Reading Club is based in Taunggyi, Southern Shan State. We have 60 community libraries and development works in different areas around Shan and Kayah States.
