We have owned boats and RVs for over 30 years. Storage of these during the off-season has always been an issue. Since we discovered the benefits of shrink wrap, off-season storage is no longer a worry and there are no costly indoor expenses.

Back when we purchased our first boat and needed to store it over the winter, we covered the boat with a canvas storage cover, which we thought was an acceptable way to go at first. We found after the first year of boat ownership that canvas flaps in the wind, lets dirt and water in, along with some chafing of the gel coat. But the worst part of having a canvas cover is after each snow storm the cover had to brushed off during the entire winter to ensure that snow and ice didn’t get too heavy and tear the cover.

Over the years we have tried indoor storage which was costly. When using outdoor storage, we tried many different types of tarps, all of which were costly, a hassle, and rarely lasted the season all the while letting the elements in.

Then we decided to have our boat shrink wrapped for winter. That winter we found out just how nice it was to never have to go out in the cold to brush snow off the canvas cover. Isn’t shoveling the driveway enough?

The fall of 2009 we started Shrink wrapping our own boats and camping trailer. This eliminated climbing up on top of the camp trailer and risk being up on a wet, icy and dangerous roof to clean the snow off.

With Blue shrink wrap and the frame work to create a little pitch, snow won’t build up much without simply sloughing off. Shrink wrap is held taught to the boat, eliminating any chafing, will easily hold up to those occasional 100 MPH plus winds we get in the spring. The 12 month UV protection built into the product ensures your boat or RV will stay looking great and protected during storage.

Summer of 2013 we took the next step into providing the best service possible by investing in training regarding proper methods of installation. We are certified installers using only premium Dr. Shrink products, and know just how important your investment is to you.
