Olongapo's Famous Pizzeria Razes on Fire

On April 20, 2025, a widespread of fire occurred at Barangay San Pablo, Castillejos, Olongapo City, Zambales including the famous pizza shop known as “Sams Pizza” owned by Mr. Samuel Del Rosario.

The said ablaze originated in a commercial space housing a bingo operation at the 2nd floor of the building. The fire affected not only Sam’s Pizza place but also other industries and establishments near the fire such as car rental place.

Olongapo’s Vice-Mayor stated that the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) received an emergency call at 11:38 a.m. reporting a blaze along Magsaysay Drive.

“The BFP, Olongapo Fire & Rescue DRRMO, SBMA FD, Subic SPOSO, barangay rescue teams, Philippine Red Cross, volunteer radio groups, the Office of Traffic Management and Public Safety, and the Olongapo City Police Office responded immediately to the scene.” He added.

SBMA Fire Chief Ranny Magno said that the fire is under control. "We are just doing over hauling for deep seated fire inside the building," he added.
