The Kaz Studios Party

For years, Kaz's only export has been our renouned film industry. It is time to realize that what is good for Kaz Studios is good for the nation of Kaz as a whole and vice versa. That is why, for the first time, the Kaz Studios Corporation shall be participating in the Citizen Assembly Election. Our platform calls for greater government support for our thriving studio, along with the passage of the Entertainment Stability Act. A vote for the Kaz Studios Party will result in a stronger, more active, Kazzian film industry.

The Royalist Party

The Royalist Party has served a critical stabilizing force in Kaz over these past two, turbulent, years. The death of our beloved monarch, Queen Twinkle, after nearly 10 years on the throne, was one of the most seismic events in our young nation's history. Had it not been for our government's swift but measured actions during that time to ensure the succession and honor our fallen sovereign, it is impossible to what would have happened to Kaz. The Royalist Party is proud to support the new reign of Queen Starlight I, and remains unabashedly pro Cat, pro Monarchy, and pro Stability.

Fiscal Party

The Fiscal Party stands for monetary responsibility and national stability. As the official opposition party in the 2024-2026 Citizen Assembly, we have been strong advocates of the formation of a national bank for the promotion of Kaz's economic prosperity. The Royalist Party has stymied our efforts and, despite the passage of the Bank Act, has refused to implement the legislation. In order to thrive, Kaz needs a strong currency, a growing economy, a balanced budget, and a Cat Class able to pull themselves up by their bootstraps. If elected, the Fiscal Party would make these issues the center of our administration.

As the nation of Kaz strays further from its original founding mission of ensuring the supremacy and sanctity of cats, only one party proposes to set us right again. We promise a return to the traditional beliefs of Feline Divinity by integrating the sacred rites of Catism with the political laws that regulate the country of Kaz. We endeavor to enshrine the beliefs under which this proud nation was founded into law, to ensure that the cats of Kaz will always be seen as the spiritual and political leaders of humanity. Our policies include mandatory prayers in government office, a yearly mandatory tasting of the treat by all human citizens, and the inclusion of Catism within our education system.

One species has risen to the top, utilizing the labor and skills of the others for its own gain. This cycle will only end when the Human Bourgeoisie, the current dominators of the world, are overcome by the might and power of the Cat Proletariat. This party promises to end the tyranny of human existence utilizing a Marxist-Leninist-Maowist ideology. We propose to utilize the Road Nationalization Act to seize the means of production and all treat making facilities so that their produce may be redistributed to the hard working cats of the nation.

Kazzian Constitution:

Kaz shall be ruled by the Constitutional Pentumvirate and the Citizen Assembly. The Pentumvirate will consist of 5 Governors, who will rule their respective provinces until their death. In their province, they are free to institute any laws that do not contradict national laws passed by the assembly. The only rights that a Governor can never infringe on, are the right to free movement of people and goods, the right of free speech, and the right of free press. The laws of the City of Kaz will be decided between the Pentumvirate and the Assembly, and to change a law it must get a ⅔ majority in the Assembly and a ½ majority in the Pentumvirate. Either house is allowed to suggest rule changes. If a vote of no confidence is called for by a minimum of ⅓ of the population of a county, their Governor will be subjected to a vote. If a majority back their removal, they are barred from seeking reelection, and a new Governor is chosen. Upon a Governor’s death or removal, a new election will be held to select the next Governor of that province. Every year elections shall be held for the Assembly. There will be 10 seats in the Assembly. People will vote for their favorite political party, and once these votes are counted each party will get the number of seats proportional to their share of the popular vote. In order to pass laws, the bill must receive at least 51% of the vote, and be sponsored by at least one Governor. Bills can be removed by the same margin–Without the support of Governors. Once laws are made, they apply to every province, even if there are Pentumvirate enforced laws against its contents. If the Assembly feels that a Governor is acting inappropriately, or failing to implement their legislation, they can temporarily choose to suspend the Governor’s rule for 2-30 days with a ⅘ majority, and can submit formal documents of impeachment to the Justice System. Along with a yearly election for the Assembly, there will be elections for Justices every year as well. There will be one cat justice–elected by cats–, one human justice–elected by humans–, and one human or cat justice–elected by both. These justices will rule on all cases, considering severity and intent. If a judge dies in office or resigns there will be another election held for the judges replacement who will serve the rest of the previous judges term. The greatest punishment that can be given by the Justice System is deportation to America. The Kazzian Army answers only to the Queen. Only the Queen may order the Military to take action, and only the Queen may dismiss members of it. In order to declare war on another country, Kaz's Governors must vote unanimously to do so, and the Assembly must give a ⅔ majority in agreement.

A1: If an amendment or addition to the current constitution of the Constitutional Pentumvirate of Kaz has the unanimous support of both the Citizen Assembly and the Pentumvirate the constitution may be amended accordingly.

Any member of the Citizen Assembly, the Pentumvirate, the Judicial System, or any other job which partakes in the running and governing of Kaz must swear that they agree with the principles stated above and acknowledge the legality of amendments to the Kazzian Constitution in order to be eligible for office.

A2: Justices shall be appointed by the unanimous approval of the Constitutional Pentumvirate. There shall be three Justices appointed at any given time. Justices must be of the cat species. Those who hold other political office are forbidden from seeking and acquiring the position of a Justice. A Justice, once appointed, shall serve for life or until their removal. A justice may be put up for a ‘Vote of Removal’ if a ⅘ majority of the Citizens Assembly and a majority of the Constitutional Pentumvirate feel that the Justice has acted in violation of their civic and moral duties to uphold the institutions and culture enshrined in the Kazzian Constitution. If this is called for, a vote will be held a week from the decision, during which time the Justice will be stripped of all power. If a majority of the public vote in favor of the Justice’s removal, the Justice will be barred from serving on the court again, and the Pentumvirate will be tasked with picking a new justice. If the public votes against the motion the Justice will return to their position. Justices shall rule on all cases, considering severity and intent when deciding the appropriate punishment.

A3: Elections for the Citizens Assembly shall be held every two years, from the year 2022 onward. Elections shall be held on August 20th, and shall be open to all citizens.

A4: The Judicial Branch of Government shall be disbanded. In its place, as the third distinct branch of government, a new Sovereigns’ Assembly shall be instituted. This Sovereigns’ Assembly will be populated by every feline citizen of the Constitutional Pentumvirate of Kaz. The size of the body may increase or decrease with the cat population. The duty of the body will be to ensure that the rights of Cats in Kaz are upheld. Should any cat related grievance arise which requires mediation, the Sovereigns’ Assembly shall convene and determine the appropriate response, considering severity and intent. If the Sovereigns’ Assembly feels the Citizens’ Assembly or the Constitutional Pentumvirate are acting against the interest of cats, they may sanction those bodies with a simple majority vote. If the body continues to act against Sovereigns’ Assembly, the Assembly may vote to remove any persons they deem anti-feline if the decision is unanimous. If disputes emerge which are not related to cats, the Governor of the province the dispute occurred in shall settle the matter as they see fit.
