About Me 

Hey humans, my name is Kazimla Kabeni. Kay for short. 

Kay, a nickname that started out as a name I embroidered into my matric jacket became the backbone of my newsletter and a substitute beacon to my name which means to shine bright in isiXhosa.  

I am currently a fourth-year medical student at Shenyang Medical College. I've dabbled into participating in debates, writing, and leadership roles while being here. In my spare time, you'll find me playing the piano, painting, or reading.

I write a semi-weekly newsletter where I talk about medicine, productivity, and lifestyle bits.  My newsletter community is a safe space and is always first to know about future plans. So make sure to subscribe if you haven’t already.

Ultimately, my goals are to specialize in Orthopedic surgery and open a hospital one day. I am, though, open to any change during my journey, so I’ll keep you updated if plans change.

Being a great physician depends greatly on your journey, the influences in your life, and your growth and development. With that said, I hope we can all help each other through this journey, be good Influences to one other, especially at pivotal points in our journeys and build each other up. Finally, I hope I can play a role in being the change needed in the grand scheme of things In healthcare.
