The kids had a blast in pumpkin week! we do not often use paint and so the kids were excited to paint.
We had a week on bats and the kids were fascinated to learn about bats. They were fascinated about how bats use echolocation to see things.
When the kids saw the ghost craft they were thrilled. They loved the streamers and making the faces.
I found the game boards on Teachers Pay Teachers. I then came up with the rules on my own. The kids love it and are always asking to play it! The rules are the same for both you roll the dice then you answer the math problem if it is math and the reading question if it is reading. If you get it right you move forward that many spaces if you get it wrong you move back that many spaces. Math is standard and only one section, the reading section is in three sections, sight words, spelling, and rhyming. The only way the two games differ in how you play is in reading for the spelling section. In the spelling section you can choose to spell a word from the next unit up and if you get it right you get to move double the spaces forward, if you get it wrong you move back what you rolled.
