Since beginning and completing my MLIS and Public Librarian certification, I've been able to further develop my own visions and beliefs when it comes to creating a library program that is Learner and Patron-Centered, personalized, and fosters the development of patrons who have strong multi-modal literacy skills and personal agency, with critical thinking skills to navigate our information rich world along their inquiry journey.

Check out these photos from my most recent trip to Japan and the Ogasawara Islands! I've been lucky enough to also travel around Italy, and to New Orleans on a service-learning trip to restore coastline vegetative growth.
I particularly enjoy taking and editing the best pictures I can as an amateur iPhone photographer (no fancy cameras for me!), as well as getting creative with lettering and other crafts- Pinterest is definitely one of my best friends in that area!
Other things I enjoy doing are being out in nature- hiking, canoeing, paddle-boarding- you name it! Everything else boils down to searching New York for the best dessert spots, spending time with family and friends, and annoying my cats!
