5. No headphones or phones (board policy). Headphones or Earbuds may be allowed if needed for online assignment using a Chromebook.
Willingham’s Discipline Plan for Minor offense
1. “1 st Warning” (name is written in log and documented)
2. “2 nd chance” (check mark in discipline log)
3. “3 rd times the charm” (writing assignment and documented behavior/ student will copy the Colbert County Code of Conduct)
4. Writing Assignment will be doubled if not turned in.
5. Write-up/ Notify administrator
Colbert County Student Handbook Attendance policy
All students are expected to be in attendance each day unless they are ill or an emergency arises. Students in grades 7-12 may not be absent more than fifteen (15) days in any class for which they are given credit. In extraordinary circumstance (e.g. extended illness or hospitalization), a student may appeal to the school attendance committee for a waiver to this policy.
School Day - A school day absence is defined as non-attendance for more than fifty (50%) percent of the regularly scheduled school day. To be counted present, a student must be present more than fifty (50%) percent of the scheduled school day.
Class - A class absence is defined as non-attendance for more than fifty (50%) percent of a regularly scheduled class. To be counted present, a student must be present more than fifty (50%) percent of the scheduled class time.
If you have an excused absence, you have 3 days to plan with your teachers to complete work missed during your absence (See page 29 of the student handbook for additional information).
It is YOUR responsibility to obtain your missing work. Cell Phone Policy
The possession and/or use of pager, cellular telephone or other personal communication device and/or other electronic device during the school day by students are allowed. However, the use of personal, wireless communication devices by students is prohibited on school grounds during the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. or while students are being transported on a school bus, except as provided for herein.
Personal, wireless communication devices include, but are not limited to: cellular devices (phones, watches, etc.), pocket pagers, email devices (laptops, chrome books, iPad, etc.), headphones (wireless and wired) or any other electronic communication device.
Students NEVER have permission to be on phones in this class.

A major offense will lead to an automatic write-up and notification to administration
· Fighting
· Weapons
· Inappropriate use of emergency equipment
· Sexual Behavior
· Leaving school grounds without permission from administration
· Vandalizing school property
· Theft
· Physical aggression
· Smoking on school property
· Use of matches and lighters on school property
· Bullying
