I grew up in Burlington and graduated from Burlington Notre Dame, then attended Kirkwood Community College for a year where I received my Paraeducator Certificate. I also studied Early Childhood while attending Kirkwood. I then attended Southeastern Community College and received my diploma in Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Education Associate's Degree, and my Elementary Education Associate's Degree. After graduating from Southeastern Community College, I am a couple months from receiving my BA in Special Education - Mild to Moderate. I currently have my Para-educator Certificate and Substitute License.
I have worked in an early learning center along with in-home child care working as a Co-Provider. My mom has been doing childcare since I was eight years old so I have had about sixteen years of experience working with children. I have also had experiences with children by volunteering in kindergarten classrooms and teaching for Safety Town for five years. I am now a student teacher and working for the Burlington Community School District PiECES Program.
When I'm not pursuing my education, I am spending time with my husband and our three daughters. We love to be outside, watch movies, and play games. I hope to make them proud as I become a teacher.
