Convergent Nozzle Schlieren/Shadowgraph
Convergent Nozzle Schlieren/Shadowgraph
A comparison of Convergent and Convergent Divergent Mach 2 Micro-Nozzles using Schlieren with a rotating knife edge to remove top and bottom light.
Conducting Schlieren and Single-Pixel PIV at low heights. Using Single-Pixel PIV, the results can have sub-pixel accuracy, much higher than conventional PIV.
Using Highspeed PIV (700 fps), we analyzed the flow field of toroidal propellers and compared them with propellers of similar surfaces. This helped identify potential advantages of the close-tipped design.
By adding DBD plasma to the propellers, the icing effects on the propellers were significantly reduced
We got the big tunnel up and running. We plan to incorporate seedless imaging techniques for flow visualization and analysis.
