Jim comes with 45+ years experience as a barber. He started on the East Side of Chicago working at his dad's shop in the 80's and early 90's before opening up Kawa's Family Hair Care in Dyer, IN in 1995. 

Jim specializes in fades, beards, flat tops, straight razor hot towel shaves, and corrective hair coloring utilizing Redken Color products. He is well versed in men, women, and children haircuts. 

Zach comes with 6+ years experience as a barber. He is our newest barber we have here at Kawa's. We welcomed Zach onto our team full-time in May of 2024 and he has excelled in his role here since.

Zach specializes in fades, beards, shaves, and all of the latest trends in barbering.

Kathy comes with 45+ years experience in barbering. She has been working full time at Kawa's for nearly 20 years, and we couldn't be happier.

Kathy specializes in fades, flat-tops, straight razor work, colors, highlights, and perms. 

Ray comes with 50+ years experience in barbering. During those years he worked both as a barber and owner of his own barbershop in Hegewisch, Ill after taking it over from his father in the 1970s. After closing his shop in 2024, Ray decided that he still wanted to continue his passion of barbering part-time, so his cousin Jim brought him on board here at Kawa's. 

Ray specializes in men's haircuts, beard trims, shaves, and kids cuts.
