Kavita   Dhanda

I am a Postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Mathematics at the university of Houston My mentor is Christopher Lutsko. I completed my Ph.D. in August 2026 from University of Houston under the supervision of Alan Haynes. 

My research interests are how Number theory, Dynamical Systems, and Ergodic theory intersect with each other. I am particularly interested in problems in Diophantine approximation, which deals with quantitative and qualitative aspects of approxmatinf irrationals by rationals. I have  matrix countings. I have also worked on the problems on Counting matrices of particular determinant and bounded entries.
