I have previously worked in the areas of Syntax and Semantics, with special interest in correlative clauses, information structure, and control theory, informed by fieldwork. I am especially interested in the interfaces of syntax, phonology, and semantics.
Prior to coming to NYU, I completed a Masters and an MPhil in Linguistics at the University of Delhi, India. My MPhil thesis was about syntactic microvariation in control constructions in Indo-Aryan languages.
I am a native speaker of Indian English, likely the variety of English with the largest number of speakers worldwide.
