About me:
I qualified from the University of Cambridge with a PGCE in Secondary Mathematics in 2003. I taught and assumed senior leadership roles in the public sector in Yorkshire in the north of England, for 12 years. Since 2015, I have relocated to the UAE to work in the private International Schools' sector.
I am currently undertaking a PhD in the School of Education at the University of Birmingham, UK. I am researching 'Pathways to Headship: what are the barriers and enablers for a more equitable representation of headship by ethnicity in England?'
With more than twenty years of experience and set against the challenge of a highly competitive sector, I have been able to establish a culture of collaboration, underpinned with moral purpose, earning the respect amongst peers in the schools' sector. I am also the author of a chapter, three books and more than a dozen articles sharing my thought leadership with others.
