My research involves understanding the Indian Ocean circulation by running a suite of models. Some of the models which I currently am using are: the Regional Ocean Model System (ROMS), Nek5000, and Oceananigans. Apart from that, I use reanalysis and observation-based datasets. This requires me to handle a ton of data (sometimes upwards of a few TBs). To counter this problem, I use various libraries and packages in Python (xArray, pandas, Dask, parallel-python, etc.). I have uploaded my Python notebooks to my GitHub page, which are currently private but can be available to you upon request.
Besides Research, I am also required to do my teaching assistantship duties. I am currently enrolled in the Science For Rural India (SFRI), wherein I will be going to schools in-and-around Bangalore to spread scientific awareness.
