Beyond the realm of research, I find joy and fulfilment in teaching and science communication, viewing them as invaluable avenues for learning and sharing knowledge. Throughout my PhD, I taught statistics, R, and introductory biology lab courses to enthusiastic undergraduate and master's students at the University of Queensland. Additionally, I proudly serve as a young science ambassador, engaging with primary and high school students in Queensland to conduct and design captivating science experiments. I relish the opportunity to communicate the wonders of science with peers and the broader community.
In addition to my academic pursuits, I find joy and balance in a variety of hobbies that feed my curiosity and creativity. I have a passion for painting, where I can express myself through vibrant colours and imaginative canvases. Exploring the natural world is another facet of my life; I regularly embark on bush walks, immersing myself in the beauty of landscapes and gaining inspiration from the biodiversity around me.
My love for exploration extends beyond the borders of my research sites. I am an avid traveller, always seeking new cultural experiences and perspectives. Roaming the world has not only broadened my understanding of ecosystems but also enriched my personal growth.
Photography serves as a natural extension of my appreciation for the visual wonders around us. Capturing moments during my travels and nature excursions allows me to freeze time and share the beauty I encounter with others. From the intricate details of flora to the breathtaking landscapes, photography has become a meaningful way for me to document and celebrate the diversity of our planet.
These hobbies provide a holistic balance to my life, allowing me to recharge creatively and mentally. They complement my scientific endeavours, fostering a well-rounded perspective and enriching my overall experience. Before my current endeavor, I completed my dual BS-MS at IISER Mohali.
